Re: [St] Speedometer woes

Is the spedo driven by a cable or is does it rely on an electronic signal?
If cable, you can often check the spedo with a drill motor. Grab the cable at the wheel end with the drill chuck and give it a spin.
also check the spedo end of the cable. it should spin when the wheel is rotated.
If it's electronic, things get a lot more complicated.

Matt,

Thanks for the speedy reply. It stopped working suddenly and the wheel had
not been removed and replaced. That has been checked. The odometer does
NOT work.

Any more ideas??

Lance
