Re: [St] High MPG Euro Bikes

Well. ok... compared to my Prius, the Diesel VW is cheaper over the life of
the vehicle. But, compared to a 30-35 MPH Yaris, no, its not.

Somewhere I did a spreadsheet that let you put in the cost of buying a car,
its MPG, your annual expected mileage, and it gave you the total cost of
driving (no maint) over 10 years. From that, the Prius *still* isn't worth
it over a VW Diesel if fuel cost it the only thing that matters even at $4 a
gallon. For me, the hybrid let me take the HOV lanes in DC and that made it
all worth it.

But it still isn't as cheap as riding an ST! 50 MPG AND $10K out the door!
