I think you could replace "Ireland" in that paragraph with
"most supposedly civilized countries" :-( It doesn't matter
which vehicle that I'm piloting (car, truck, or bike) or
where, but someone tries to run me over because they didn't
bother to look. I felt much safer riding last weekend where
the things I had to avoid were deer, horses, dogs, gravel and
some drunk RATs (after the ride)...
