That's the question I keep repeating in my head. Remember, 7-10% optimistic means that 10+ mph at 150... So when you see 160 on the clocks, you MIGHT be doing 150. GPS is nice and will give you better accuracy than the speedo. However, radar is pretty darn good at recording speed. I suggest we find someplace where its "safe" to run the bike as fast as it can go (like Bonneville maybe?) and get it on radar. Then we'll know "for sure."
