Ok, here's my response.

Why do you carry any oil? Do your bikes have any noticable consumption over
several thousand miles? Oil usage should be predictable. Any serious loss of
oil will almost certainly result in an unrideable bike.
You can certainly find a quart at about any stop along the way. Granted, you
want to avoid API SJ oil, but just about every town has a Honda dealer. Any
quality SH or SG will work (actually even an SJ if it's not "energy
conserving"). Remember, there are even more myths about motorcycle oil than
WD-40.

Use that limited packing space for fun stuff.
