Troy Blood

I wanted to update everyone on the passing of Troy Blood.

I had a really nice conversation yesterday with Donna Blood (Troy's wife). 
She had seen a few of the early responses to her announcement of his 
accident and had tried to reply to a couple, but she had problems with 
Troy's machine and hasn't turned it on since. She did want to thank 
everyone for their thoughts and prayers. She added that "Troy would be 
totally overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and concern from his fellow 
riders"

As another lister mentioned, Donna is pregnant. She and Troy found out 
about 2 weeks before he died and she is now at about 10 weeks. She said 
that Troy was really excited at the idea of being a father....

She and I talked about his final moments and I was relieved to hear that 
the medical examiner thought that he went fairly quick and did not suffer. 
He was an organ donor, so he was able to give to others yet again. Donna 
told me that at the beginning of the private funeral, a motorcycle could be 
heard in the distance, quickly changing up through the gears..... "just as 
if Troy was riding off into the sunset!"

The employer of Donna's mother setup a Trust account for Troy and Donna's 
child. I spoke earlier with the board of TSRA and they have graciously 
offered to make a donation to the account in his honor. I will be 
collecting funds to send on behalf of his motorcycle friends - I have setup 
a link for credit card donations or checks can be sent directly to me. If 
you would prefer to donate anonymously, please let me know off list and I 
will get the information to you.

I hope that those of you that enjoyed reading his email, or looking at the 
RS site, or that got to meet and ride with him will take a moment to offer 
a donation to his family's future success.

I have added a page to the website with a picture that Donna sent me (and
