[ST] Brake pad / clutch wear query

I realize that there's no "right" answer here, because it depends on
riding style and environment, but what's the typical range brake pads
will last on a Sprint ST?  Clutch?  Just curious.

BTW, my clutch cable broke with only 2100 miles on the bike and another
ST rider I know had his break at 1400 miles.  Anyone else have a similar
experience?
