You could install a tank cam and stick the magnets to that. :^)

I admit a magnetic tank bag is a wonderful convenience until it wipes out
all of your credit cards and you happen to be 2000 miles from home. My
wallet wasn't even in the tank bag, I happened to be carrying the tank bag
and I get it got too close to my wallet. Now I'm willing to put up with the
hassle of straps.
