[ST] My fuel pump is a screamer!

Steve-

My '01 ST was a "happy hummer" too....it sure was annoying, and embarrassing
at stoplights.

When I picked my bike up, the dealer explained that sometimes this happened,
my bike was one of them, and most of the time, the noise went away by the
500 mi. service. I wasn't sure how that was going to happen, but indeed, the
buzz did go away by 500 miles. If it's any encouragement, the sequence was:
"buzz all the time", then "buzz only when cold", then "no buzz". Maybe
you're about there. I did get a momentary re-occurrence or two later on, but
I just turned the ignition off/on and it went away immediately.

I happened to be at another dealer when a customer was complaining about
this on his new Daytona. This dealer had just been on the phone with
Triumph, and while there are a few work-arounds they can try (not replacing,
just tinkering), the factory has not (yet) determined/implemented a
permanent fix. So if yours finally does quiet down, you're as good off as if
they fooled with it. No guarantee a new one is any better.

Hope this helps...
