One way, two days is the perfect amount.  I wouldn't even try to do a round
trip in that time frame.  Although the weather that time of the year can be
really iffy, especially in the NC mtns.  But that's what heated grips and
frostbite are for.

OK, here's a dumb question...

...I'll have to make a trip to Atlanta sometime in the April/May period; I
can probably promote a bike from some folks there, and was thinking about
taking a 4-day weekend and heading up to Charlottesville.

It looks kinda like sorta the BRP is between Atlanta and VA.

How sane/stupid would it be to make it a 2-day trip from Atlanta to
Charlottesville VA via the Parkway??
