[ST] Battery Tender

   I can tell you from my own experience, Eric, that the Battery Tender 
typically  will not resuscitate a completely dead battery, it requires a 
small amount of voltage to start the charging process.  I tried doing 
exactly what you mentioned when the battery died on my ST (another story, 
my own fault).  Suffice it to say, I had to jump the bike from my Maxima, 
(do this with the car ignition OFF), get some juice into the bike battery, 
and then the BT was able to fully charge it, over about 5 hours.  In terms 
of hookup, use the supplied ring terminals at the appropriate batter 
terminals, mine are permanently attached....
