Keith,

An interesting page thanks for the link and for taking the time to research
and document the grips. I have a hypothesis that might very well explain the
variance in the. The right grip is larger in diameter than the left because
it fits over the throttle tube. I'm not sure how the heating elements are
molded into the grip but if it is a simple coil geometry then the same
number of windings on the left will require a longer element wire due to the
difference in the diameter of the left bar verses the right throttle tube.
