Another trick when installing stick-on aftermarket grip heaters:
Purchase a rt. side grip & throttle sleeve [~$12] and use it on the
left side as an insulator.  I cut off the cable attachments and pop
riveted mine to the handlebar.  With this setup I can't feel any
difference in temp from side to side.
