Me too - I have a '99 model ST and I hate the way I get the gear-change
mis-timed. You get a neutral popping up just when you are not looking out
for it. Or sometimes you get a nasty 'klonk' from 1-2 or 2-3. I have
started to forget the clutch for the rest as it seems much less stressful
on the drive train than when I get it wrong using the clutch. 1-2 and 2-3
are a little better after adjusting the clutch cable up a touch, and the
neutrals having adjusted the gear-lever down 1" so it suits my riding
position. Its old age getting to me obviously.
See you at the TT - off tomorrow for Liverpool.
John
