It is true that the lower the tire pressure, the more heat is generated, and
consequently more/faster wear. However, and I'm just offering some
speculation, you may be able to "shift" where you are wearing the tire, thus
wearing a different section fast, but saving some of where you are worn
thinnest. Dunno - just a thought.

Not really. I 'm looking for a way to put more rubber on the road for two
more weeks until a new one is installed. I think the less pressure, the
more the tire spreads out over the road.
