Here's a trick I was told by Jim Callahan (RAT leader for the USA): turn
your bike off and then restart it. Evidently the starter or something puts
out a magnetic field when cranking that will help trigger the sensors in the
pavement. Can't say I've had to use it, but it makes sense to me.
