[ST] RE: oil filter removal



Joe,

Thanks for your suggestion.  I was able to get the filter off 
using the

suggestion of inserting a screw through the oil cap wrench and 
the

filter; still needed a rubber mallet to get it to budge, but 
didn't have

to worry about punching a screw driver through unnecessary parts.

Dan, try using an old belt,like that around your waist. Just get 
the outside of the filter cleaned real good,then pull on the 
belt,once wrapped around the filter,in the OPPOSITE direction 
that it's supposed to be used.....My $.02....JOE
