I only have 12,500 miles on my 00 sprint purchased new in the fall of 02.  But I have a relatively high milage 95 VFR with 95,000 miles on it.  I still ride it just like I ride any motorcycle.  the suspension needs replace but otherwise it performs like new.  Oil consumption is less than 1/4 qt every 4,000 miles.  I have followed the majority of the factory service intravals that is valve adjustment, oil change every 4,000 miles and fluids every 2 years.

I would be very disappointed if my Sprint does not last as long.  To date I have had no problems what so ever.  The 12,000 mile service was just completed with no problems found.  Suprisingly no shims were required.

In short ride your Sprint as hard as you like and do the maintenance.

Funny how a high mileage thread shows up at just the time I was thinking 
about this very thing myself.  My RS has 54,000 miles on it and has been 
through a life of semi hard riding.  I started wondering if I should 
start babying the bike more as the miles add up?  Does anyone on the 
list have a higher mileage RS or ST that they still ride hard regularly 
or at higher cruising speeds?  If so do you still play the rev range 
regularly or not?  Just curious as it looks like I'll not be able to buy 
my new Triumph next season.
