If you torque a fastener down then leave it a few years it won't
necessarily take the same torque to undo it especially if it has been
blasted with corrosive liquids in the interim.
The fact that it went back 1/8 turn less is more indicative although
that depends on whether the threads & mating surfaces were in A1
condition.

That's what I did. But the socket wasn't mine so the owner granted me
to
grind a bit. I finally made it (see my post - rear hub epilogue). But
it
was definitly
over torqued.
