Ah - interesting point.  Did they up the compression and recommended octane on the '02-'04 engine?  My service manual, and both ST's are pre-'02?

My 2002 Sprint RS pings on 89 if I open it up on an uphill corner. Just 
tried running a tank of 89 this morning and it still pings. Switched back to 
premium (91, 92 whatever) and it's fine.
