I think I covered this before, but just in case. I like the way they work
just fine. The angle of the BMW mirror does not quite match up with the
bodywork of the ST. If you were to look at my installation from a top view,
you would see I had to pivot the mirrors slightly forward which bothers me
from an esthetics point. The BMW mirrors pivot (fold) about 2 inches from
the base. When mounting them, I had to cut out enough of the fairing for the
mirror to fit into, then modified the mirror slightly to allow it to match
up with the stock Triumph mount (elongated the holes in the mirror and
'ouch' threw out the very nice BMW mounting screws), then put a few washers
underneath to get it spaced just a bit. I'm not totally satisfied with my
installation still. I had to use a black silicone to fill a gap (1/8 inch)
between the mirror and the fairing. I need to fabricate another rubber
gasket to take care of that. If anyone is REALLY interested, I can take some
close photo's and email them. My photo's only get developed on a monthly
basis (RAT Club) so it would have to wait for about a month.
