Re: [ST] Help! Gas Leak! Ahhh, it burns!!!!

Update: I just found out how to search the ST archives and saw some gas
leak entries but they weren't the same as what I saw on my bike after taking
the plastic side pieces off. My leak is coming from the right side under
the gas tank from a fuel line fitting (the top one of two stacked vertically
on the left side of the tank if you're looking straight on at the left side
of the bike. The fitting is a quick release plastic fitting with a black
o-ring on it. It connects into a copper/brass colored plate that (I guess)
is part of the gas tank. Since there are two lines stacked vertically my
assumption is that one is the line to the engine and one is a return line.
Anyway, the plastic nipple part of the fitting on the hose (the part with
the o-ring on it) is partially separated and when I removed or reattached
it, gas would come out. When it's removed, it looks like the leak stops
(although I'm not 100% sure about this). Has anyone else had this problem?
Is this a return line and does the fitting come off the hose easily? Also,
since I'm more than a little perturbed at my bike spewing gas for 20+
minutes (unnoticed at highway speed) does anyone know what feedback I
can/should expect from Triumph when I let them know about this?

Thanks again.
