There are entire websites devoted to K&N and what it does and does not do.  It is supposed to flow much more air.  The anti-K&N group says it flows more dirt and therefore, it contributes to more engine wear.  I don't care what it flows, I'm with the washability group.  The cost of the replaceable filters is way too much and I'll be in the ground lookin' up before I wear out my 955i from that extra little bit of dirt.

Just a comment on one of the original posts, if you add a pipe and you don't have to adjust the tune, then it must be "ONLY" for show not go.
