I experienced a similar condition with a Remus install I just attempted.
Didn't notice header pipe header ( "S" bend ) proximity to swing arm, but
the can was aimed at the guy in my right lane about three cars back. That
equates to ~ 10° out at the rear from the longitudinal axis of the bike,
putting the rear of the can outside of the right rear footrest. Turns out I
received a header pipe for an ST. So there is a slight difference between an
RS & an ST header pipe.
