[ST] Planning Motorcycle Tour - What do I bring?

Hey all,

I'm hoping to put together a little week-long trek from San Jose, CA to Fall
City, WA (and back again) sometime in May/June. 

I wanted to pick the collective brain of the group here, having never
ventured out on an over-night tour before. What are some of the more
essential pieces of equipment to bring?

Off the top of my head, the following would seem pretty important:
- - Flat-tire kit (can anyone suggest any?)
- - First-aid kit
- - Chain lube
- - Some kind of extension of the stock tool kit (any suggestions?)
- - Water-proof clothes (got that)
- - Changes of underwear

I'm probably missing some really obvious and no-doubt essential piece of
equipment, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated. 

If anyone has ridden this or any portion, I'd like to try to compile some
realistic time-lines for getting from point-to-point. I'm planning to stick
to mostly-coastal routes from the bay area to Portland, go direct from
Portland to Seattle, visit my mom for a couple of days outside of Seattle,
and do the fast-and-furious I-5 on the way back. And any anecdotal
information about the disposition of LEO's and Cagers towards motorcyclists
in the various regions would be cool. 

Also, if anyone is en route, I'd love to meet up and do some miles with
anyone available. Currently my dates are not set, but once they are, I'll be
sure to inform any interested parties on the way.
