David,
I do not think it is unreasonable for a bike with that many miles. I
took my ST to the dealer for a valve check yesterday. Before going I
looked at the owners manual and was reminded that the head bearings
had never been lubed (40K miles). I asked him to do it and he said it
was something they never did.
