I was out early this morning, putting some miles on my new ST. I was 
accelerating up a long grade out in a rural part of Connecticut, where there 
is a small shopping plaza on the left side at the top of this hill. 
Apparently, an  SUV had  pulled out of the lot, making a left turn, and took 
out a guy on a Harley coming from the opposite direction, who was, from what 
one of the police told me, "flying".  Judging by the debris still in the 
road, he was.  The rider, who was wearing traditional HD protective gear (T 
shirt, jeans and a bandana) was killed instantly.  An hour later I stopped 
for a coffee and a kid pulled into the lot on a new Hayabusa- jeans, T 
shirt, sneakers, no gloves or helmet.  I hope he made it home...
